About the Course

This pathway forms part of our Digital Business Skills with Artificial Intelligence programme, designed to help employees build confidence using modern digital tools while developing an understanding of how artificial intelligence can support everyday business tasks.

At the core of the pathway is the Modern Apprenticeship in Digital Application Support (SCQF6), which provides a strong foundation in the practical use of digital systems, workplace technologies, and
application software used across a range of business environments.

Alongside the apprenticeship, learners also take part in additional AI-focused learning, including a live instructor-led course and industry-recognised AI training, giving them the opportunity to explore how emerging technologies such as generative AI can be applied in the modern workplace.

By the end of the programme, learners will have developed the confidence to work effectively with digital tools, support business systems, and apply new technologies to improve productivity within their role.

As part of the Qualifications Scotland (SQA) Diploma in Digital Application Support (SCQF6), over 10% of the qualification consists of sector-specific units aligned to the learner’s industry, helping
ensure the skills developed are directly applicable to their role.
