Our Applied Data Analytics with Artificial Intelligence pathway has been developed to support professionals looking to strengthen their analytical capability while gaining insight into how artificial intelligence can support modern data practices. Designed for individuals working with data or aspiring to move into more analytical roles, the programme provides a structured and practical learning experience.
At the core of the pathway is the Diploma in Data Analytics (SCQF8), awarded by Qualifications Scotland as part of the Modern Apprenticeship framework. This qualification focuses on developing the skills required to work with data, generate insights and support informed business decisions.
Alongside the core qualification, learners will also complete CompTIA DataAI and attend our Generative AI in the Modern Workplace instructor-led course, providing additional exposure to emerging technologies and how they can be applied within modern data environments.

No set requirements, however, the role must be relevant to the qualification being undertaken.

Blended and work-based learning.
Duration
The recommended duration for this framework is 12 to 18 months. However, consideration of any additional learning or Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) will be taken into account for planning the duration for individuals on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment Methods
Assessment methods may include gathering product evidence, personal reflective statements, workplace observation, witness testimony and/or professional discussion.
Start Date
This is a roll-on, roll-off programme therefore there is no fixed start date.

Course Structure
Build the Advanced Data and AI Skills Modern Businesses Need
Participants will engage with a structured curriculum focused on advanced data analytics techniques, data processing and the interpretation of insights to support informed business decisions. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, apprentices will develop the skills required to work effectively with complex datasets and generate meaningful insights within modern organisations.

- ETGENAI – Generative AI in the Modern Workplace – AI MA Pathway Enhancement (Instructor-led course)
- CompTIA Data+AI – Industry-recognised certification introducing key concepts across data analytics and artificial intelligence and their application within modern data environments.
