No set requirements, however, the role must be relevant to the qualification being undertaken.

Work-based learning.
Duration
The recommended duration for this framework is 9 – 12 months. Any recognised Prior Learning (RPL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis when planning the duration for individuals.
Assessment Methods
Assessment methods may include gathering product evidence (example content with annotation to contextualise), written statements, workplace observation, witness testimony and/or professional discussion.
Start Date
This is a roll-on, roll-off programme therefore there is no fixed start date.

Remote and work-based.

Candidates will acquire a strong foundation in key areas, preparing them for entry-level roles in the field. Mandatory Units
This is split into two additional groups: B and C. At a minimum, three units must be selected from Group B, with a further two units selected from Group B or Group C. Also included in this award are restricted combinations; however, this can be discussed at the point of unit selection. Below is a list of common optional units for illustrative purposes only. There is a vast selection to choose from; however, these will be tailored to individual roles and needs.

Core Skills
There are 5 core skills for the framework, however some of these are naturally embedded in the award. There is one unit which is not naturally covered, therefore will need to be undertaken as part of the apprenticeship framework if not already achieved. This can be seen in the Core Skill Profile provided by SQA.

Enhancements
This framework must contain one mandatory enhancement which is relevant to the learner’s job role, as detailed below:
- Another optional unit from the SCQF Level 5 or SCQF Level 6 in Business and Administration
- A unit from the Accounting, Customer Service, Finance, and IT User SVQs or Competence based qualifications at SCQF Level 5 or above.
- A unit from any other relevant SVQ at SCQF Level 5 or above agreed in writing by the Training Provider and Instructus
- One core skill at higher level than specified in the framework.
- Relevant short courses at a suitable level
- A unit from PC Passport, basic or advanced ECDL or part ECDL (three or more modules of ECDL)
- Employer-devised training programmes (endorsed by Instructus).
